In this one hour class, we will be discussing the importance of Civil War Dogs and much more.
1) We will start with short history dogs of war throughout history (Greek, Roman, Egyptian, etc.).
2) Students will learn why dogs were so essential during this time.
3) We will talk about all the areas where dogs were a part of the Civil War.
4) Students will hear stories of some of these extraordinary dogs.
The class will consist of PowerPoint presentations, videos,...Students will get an understanding of the importance dogs had during the Civil War. They will hear stories about the dogs that helped their owners and troops. Students will also get a quick lesson on dogs of war throughout the centuries.
