** New to Outschool? Use code MelanieWia2020 to save $20! ** The French Revolution was a time of turmoil and great change in France. From a corrupt royal family fleeing their city to the collapse of their monarchy, this revolution proved that the will of the people can change a country. In this six-week course, we will break down the details of the French Revolution and look at how riots, scandals, and corruption completely transformed France's political system. This class is designed for students who want to have an academic learning space that is engaging and a place to ask questions. Students do not need to have prior knowledge as these classes will provide students with background information to allow them to engage, participate, and understand the history of this time. Students with more knowledge on these topics are also welcome to join this class, share what they know, and also learn some new information. Through the six weeks, I will be using slideshow presentations to teach the students about the key events, people, and policies that occurred during this time. There will also be images, videos, discussion questions, and games of Kahoot to engage students and help solidify their knowledge of what they have learned. See the Syllabus tab for a week-by-week breakdown of some of the topics we will be covering.
