What to expect in classes:
Classes 1 and 2 you will draft your music, learn some keyboard shortcuts (typing two or three unrelated keys and triggering a programmed response), and learn how MIDI keyboards process incoming data through channels
Classes 3 and 4 you will learn how to quantize notes (line up the start times of notes) for different styles of music and add EQ, compression, and reverb
Classes 5 and 6 you will learn how to and edit your audio files and create a synth by studying waveforms, filters, and effects

I have a Bachelor's in Music Composition for Film, TV, and Games from Berklee College of Music. I use Logic Pro X professionally for music composition.

You will be required to work on your songs during the week and upload a file of their current progress. It is recommended that you spend 1-2 hours each week working on your project.

You will receive a written report of their song's progress, including things you have done very well and aspects upon which you can improve.

You need a Mac computer (Mac, Macbook Air, or Macbook Pro) with Logic Pro X (Logic Pro) installed. Logic Pro only runs on Mac computers.
