- Please be on time for class.  If you are going to be late - please sbe sure to have someone with you - help you to catch up to the rest of the class.  We want to be sure to respect everyone's time - so we are not able to help a student that joined late - catch up to the rest of the class.  

- Be Ready: Have all ingredients, supplies and the space you are using - clean, organized and ready to go!

- Raise your hand is someone else is speaking. 

- Be Respectful to others, at all times.

- Ingredient Substitutions: Yes of course you can substitute ingredients!  Please keep in mind this will more than likely change the outcome of your recipe and how the other ingredients reactions toward the dish/process.

Our Classes will have students learning and enjoying the art of cooking and baking!  Students will learn many kitchen techniques - along with creativity and will build more confidence.  One of the best parts is being able to eat and enjoy something you made with your very own hands - as well as sharing your dish with family and friends!

We try our best to make sure to incorporate fresh ingredients - as well and ingredients you may already have in your pantry/fridge.

Students will also practice reading, math and learn food history and food science!

Parents are encouraged to supervise their child in the kitchen as each child will be doing the following: Hadling knives in cooking class, cooking on stovetop, using oven and the like.

Learners should have some basic safe understanding of using a knife and cooking safely on the stovetop and using the oven.

Supplies Needed:
Cutting Board
Knife
3 - 4 small bowls for ingredients to be put in after chopped
1 pan for cooking vegetable and chicken
1 pot for boiling potatoes
Cooking Utensil for cooking vegetables and chicken
String Utensil for storing potatoes while cooking
Strainer to drain water from potatoes or Utensil to lift cooked potatoes out of water
Potato Masher or a Fork will do!

Ingredients:

Creamy Tuscan Chicken Ingredients:
- 4 Tablespoons cooking oil (olive oil is best - but you can use vegetable oil, avacado oil, etc.)
- Kosher Salt to Taste (Everyone's taste buds are unique - we'll start off with using about 3 teaspoons and you can add at the end of the dish after you've tasted.  You can use any salt - but Kosher salt works best for this dish)
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 3 Tabelspoons Unsalted Butter
- 3 - 4 Teaspoons Curry Powder (Some curry powder brands are very spicy - ready their label for spice levels)
- 3 Tablespoons Granulated Garlic or Garlic Powder 
- 3 Cups of Spinach (rinsed and cleaned)
- 1/2 cup - 1 cup of heavy cream (some like it creamier than others!)
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzerella cheese


Garlic Whipped Mashed Potatoes
- 4 Medium Yukon Gold Potatoes (Rinsed & Cleaned - you can peel if you want - but you can eat the skin on yukon gold potatoes.  If you choose to use russet, Idaho or White Potatoes - be sure to have the skin already peeled off and keep your potatoes soaked in cold water - ready to use for class.)
- 5 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter
- 3 Tablespoons Granulated Garlice or Garlic Powder
- 1/2 Teaspoon of ground black pepper
- 4 Tablespoons of heavy cream

I have been teaching youth Culinary classes for almost 10 years and am the Owner of Victoria's Kitchen Kids Cooking School.  I have a strong passion for youth, community and culinary.  Each child will gain a one of a kind - hands on - engaging culinary experience when they join our Kids Cooking Classes!  As a mother of three children - It is my mission/passion to provide as many youth with the life skills and love of cooking and baking!

I am also an Engligh Literature Major and enjoy reading, writing and speaking.  In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, singing, cooking/baking, writing poetry and offering public speaking engagements at local school and non profits.
