T-Rex の歯: T-Rex と他の恐竜の歯の詳細な調査

Let's talk teeth! And BIG teeth, at that.  In this active, engaging, and fun one-time lesson, students will dive-in with Ms. Jamie and learn about Tyrannosaurus Rex, his teeth, and the teeth of his cousin dinosaurs. 
The class will be divided into two sections.  In the first section, students will look at T-Rex teeth size, shape, and number. We will look at the serrations and locations of different shaped teeth and how this helps him hunt and eat. We will even look at an actual T-Rex tooth.   With this knowledge, we will use our imagination to find a tooth brush big enough for T-Rex and chase him for a good tooth-brushing!  
Because I want every one to feel welcome to share, we will take a break before the second section to show and share a dinosaur, dinosaur book, or dinosaur shirt they may bring to class!  
The second section will begin with the size and shape of the T-Rex skull and jaw compared to other dinosaurs.  Again, we will use our imagination to compare our own body size to the skull of T-Rex. We will move on to the bite-force of T-rex and other well-known animals with a "big bite", such as a shark and an alligator.  
Students will learn the vocabulary terms heterodont and theropod. 
Attached to the class is a printable resource that includes a T-Rex skull to color and a section of true/false questions to answer over the material used. Students do not need this worksheet for class, but we may go over it together if time allows.  

In my class, I typically always stop and let a student share if they are raising their hand. I want to have fun and laugh and learn!  I love teeth and dinosaurs and I hope your student leaves with new knowledge to wow the other dino-lovers in their life!
