Get ready to go where few animals—and even fewer people—have ever dared! In Survival of the Strangest: Extreme Ecosystems, learners will explore Earth’s most extreme habitats and the creatures that call them home. From pitch-black ocean depths to icy polar zones, from scorching deserts to sky-high mountains, each day unlocks a new ecosystem packed with fascinating survival stories. We'll use colorful slides, engaging video clips, and interactive tools like Kahoot and Blooket to bring each wild world to life. Students will participate in hands-on discussions, creative design challenges, and even some optional science experiments at home! What we’ll explore: 🌊 Glowing deep-sea animals that light up the ocean ❄️ Arctic creatures that survive freezing cold 🌵 Desert animals that live without water 🏔 Mountain and cave dwellers with powerful lungs and claws 🌍 Final challenge: Create your own extreme ecosystem! Throughout the week, learners will compare survival strategies, invent creatures adapted to harsh habitats, and design their own wild world. My teaching style is energetic and student-centered, with lots of opportunities for creativity, curiosity, and collaboration. If your child is fascinated by the natural world and loves a good science adventure, this is the camp for them!
