Super Space Science and Art Club With Ms. Erin

In this weekly ongoing class, students will learn about a new space related concept each week, participate in a group game, and create a craft.

Class Experience

US Grade 1 - 3
In this weekly ongoing class, students will learn about about a different aspect of space each week (stars, planets, solar systems, moons, etc...)
The class will begin with a vibrant presentation and engaging discussion on the topic of the week. Learners will be encouraged to participate in the conversation and ask/answer questions. 
Next, they will participate in the game of the week to consolidate learning. The game of the week may be trivia, guess the word, fill in the blank, etc...
Finally, students will create a simple craft based on the topic of the week. The supply list will be posted a week in advance, or sent to the student after they have registered (unless the student signs up close to the class' start time.) If you do not have the materials, your child can improvise with whatever you happen to have at home.

Week of October 13: Let's Explore Solar Systems
Week of October 20: Let's Explore Galaxies 
Week of October 27: Meteors, Asteroids, Comets, Oh My!

Week of November 10: Milky Way Day
Week of November 17: Planet Explorers
Week of November 24: The Sun: Our Star!
Week of December 1: Dwarf Planets
Week of December 8: Black Holes
Week of December 15: Astronaut Day!
Week of December 22: NO CLASS
Week of December 29: NO CLASS
Week of January 5: Mercury
Week of January 12: Venus
Week of January 19: Earth
Week of January 26: Mars
Week of February 2: Jupiter
Week of February 9: Saturn
Week of February 16: Uranus
Week of February 23: Neptune


This is a beginner level course. Students do not need to have any previous knowledge about space in order to participate.
This is an ongoing class and although all of the topics are related, they are not cumulative. Students may drop in and out at any time.
