夏のライティング、IEW スタイル、2.0

This class was developed for learners who have attended Summer Writing - IEW Style with me in a previous summer. The challenges for this class are slightly longer, and the style is introduced more quickly than in the first summer class. Please contact me with questions about placement in either of my two summer writing classes. 

Using the Institute for Excellence in Writing (IEW) writing method, which includes key word outlines, paragraph structure, and style techniques, learners will be guided through writing exercises with summer themes.  Each week's class will open with an icebreaker question followed by a focus on style or mechanics.  A group writing exercise will introduce the structure and theme of that week's writing challenge.  A quiet guided writing time will be given during class so that learners can begin the writing challenge and ask questions in real time through the Zoom chat.  The end of each week's class will be set aside for learners to share their writing with the class should they choose to do so.

Learners may submit their writing challenges to me each week via Outschool messaging to receive editing and/or feedback.  Learners will have an opportunity each week to present their in-progress work in class. Presenting is encouraged but not required.  Learners should come to class with writing supplies for individual writing time.   Classes will be recorded for learners who will need to miss occasionally due to flexible summer schedules. (Note, Outschool policy requires that a learner attend a live class before any recordings can be accessed.)
