2年生の夏休みの作文の手伝い

Summer writing is an exciting experience for students.  It allows them to be creative and express themselves in a meaningful way.  By developing writing skills, the students can improve how they may look at a sentence in a new and fun way.  Writing in he summer months will help maintain writing skills and prevent the summer slide. It is important to keep students writing over the summer. Students can work on writing skills to ensure continued progress for third grade.
      Each week I will provide a teacher-directed activity followed by student practice in class. The students will learn to think creatively and organize their thoughts  on paper.  Our lessons will begin with modeled lessons by me and then independent work for the students.  The students will learn about descriptive words, show not tell, dialogue, and strong beginning and endings in a story. They will also learn about how to use figurative language.  
       There will be many hands-on writing activities so that they can use their imaginations.  They will grow in confidence when writing their very own descriptive sentences. The students will edit and share their work with classmates and celebrate!
