This summer club meets once a week and emphasizes beginner acting skills! We will play many games that supply these foundational theatre skills. All activities will encourage students to develop their imaginations, physicality/movement, and the importance of cooperation. Students will begin each lesson by taking part in The Actor’s Toolbox. - Class will incorporate C.H.A.M.P.S. (Conversation, Help, Activity, Movement, Participation, and Success) This is a system of expectations that will be covered before each day of camp. It is an opportunity for students to ask clarifying questions and to help create a successful and safe learning environment. - Physical activity will not be overly strenuous. Students are encouraged but not required to wear comfortable clothing that supports flexible movement. - Summer weather makes hydration essential. Please make sure that you have a water bottle nearby to stay hydrated.
