I am a passionate and dedicated educator with a multiple-subject teaching credential and a mathematics authorization, which enables me to teach various levels of mathematics, including algebra. Over the years.
I have been teaching 8th grade math for over 8 years now. As such, I have a deep understanding of algebraic concepts, focusing on building problem-solving skills and fostering a growth mindset in students. I strive to make learning explorative and fun, often gamifying lessons to create an engaging and interactive experience! :) I also utilize educational tools such as Geogebra, Desmos, and Nearpod to help students explore mathematical concepts in dynamic ways.
I have K-12 teaching experience, and I hold a TESOL certification, which allows me to effectively support English Learners (EL) in their mathematical learning. In addition to formal classroom instruction, I have worked with students individually and in small groups, allowing me to tailor lessons to each student's needs. My goal is to create a supportive, empowering environment where all students feel confident and excited about their learning.
