In this 4-day Resin Craft Summer Camp, learners will explore the exciting world of resin art in a safe, creative, and engaging environment. Designed for beginners, this hands-on class teaches students how to work with epoxy resin to create their very own bookmarks and keychains using fun materials like glitter, dried flowers, colorful pigments, stickers, and charms. What will be taught: Resin safety and handling (ventilation, gloves, mixing ratios) How to properly mix and pour resin How to use silicone molds to create keychains and bookmarks Design skills: layering, color mixing, embedding small items Basic finishing techniques (sanding edges, assembling hardware) Topics Covered by Day: Day 1: Introduction to resin, safety rules, tools and materials, and planning design ideas Day 2: Mixing and pouring resin for bookmarks, adding decoration Day 3: Making resin keychains with personalized elements Day 4: Demolding, sanding, and assembling final products (add tassels, charms, or rings) If you’d like me to open more sessions of this resin craft camp, please don’t hesitate to contact me! Working with epoxy resin involves the use of chemicals, so students will need to follow strict safety guidelines, such as wearing gloves and working in a well-ventilated area. Resin should never be ingested or come in contact with skin for prolonged periods, and students will be closely monitored during the class to ensure safety.
Parents should supervise young children during the crafting process, especially when it comes to mixing and pouring the resin. The resin requires curing time (usually overnight), which will not be done during class time but will be explained in detail.
