➕➖➗✖️🟰 Summer Bridge to Saxon 7/6 ➕➖➗✖️🟰 In Summer Bridge to Saxon 7/6, we will prepare for 7/6 Grade Math by reviewing important concepts and introducing the following skills 🟢 Basic arithmetic: adding / subtracting, multiplication / division facts 🔵 Linear, Liquid, Time Measurement 🟣 Missing Numbers in Addition/Subtraction and Multiplication/Division ⚫️ Order of Operations PEMDAS ⚪️ Perimeter 🟤 Some and Some More and Some Went Away Story Problems 🟠 Rounding Whole Numbers and Estimating, Bar Graphs 🟡 The Number Line 🔴 Greatest Common Factor 🟢 Fraction Manipulatives 🔵 Adding/Subtracting, Reducing Fractions with Common Denominators 🟣 Frequency Tables, Histograms, Surveys ⚫️ Multiplying Fractions, Reducing by Common Factors ⚪️ …and more! This class is appropriate for ANY rising 6th or 7th Grader, but specifically follows the Saxon Math skills path. Each student will receive a Facts Practice Log, where they can keep track of the skills practice. The class will be taught live each week, but the videos will be posted so that students can re-watch, or participate asynchronously. 🎓Week 1, Week of 1 June: Adding/Subtracting, Multiplying/Dividing Whole Numbers, Money, Fact Families 🎓 Week 2, Week of 8 June: Missing Numbers in Addition/Subtraction, Multiplication and Division 🎓 Week 3, Week of 15 June: Order of Operations, Fractional Parts 🎓 Week 4, Week of 22 June : Linear Measurement and Perimeter 🎓 Week 5, Week of 29 June: The Number Line, Fractions and Mixed Numbers 🎓 Week 6, Week of 6 July: Some and Some More, Some Went Away, Larger/Smaller/Difference, Later/Earlier/Difference Stories 🎓 Week 7, Week of 13 July: Adding and Subtracting Fractions 🎓 Week 8, Week of 20 July: Greatest Common Factor 🎓 Week 9, Week of 27 July: Frequency Tables, Histograms, Surveys 🎓 Week 10, Week of 3 August: Equal Group stories with reactions 🎓 Week 11, Week of 10 August: Least Common Multiples, Reciprocals 🎓 Week 12, Week of 17 August: Adding and Subtracting Mixed Numbers ***What Level is Appropriate for My Child?*** ⭐️Saxon Math 5/4 is on-grade level for 4th grade and for a 5th grader who may need to take it at a slower pace. ⭐️ Saxon Math 6/5 is on-grade level for 5th grade and for a 6th grader who may need to take it at a slower pace. ⭐️ Saxon Math 7/6 is on-grade level for 6th grade and for a 7th grader who may need to take it at a slower pace. ⭐️ Saxon Math 8/7 is on-grade level for 7th grade and for an 8th grader who may need to take it at a slower pace. ⭐️ Algebra 1/2 is often taken by 8th graders. ⭐️ Algebra 1 is often taken by 8th or 9th graders.
