**Coupon Code: BILLIDRAWFALL5* ($5 off your first class with me!) Welcome to Story Time Art Club! I am so glad you're here! This class is an on-going class but learners are welcome to drop in/out any time. Topics Covered: This class will focus on reading comprehension and following step-by step directions. Class Structure: Each week, we will read a new story. (I like to choose some fiction and some non-fiction as well) I will read the story out loud and then I will lead students in a step by step drawing tutorial. Teaching Style: My teaching style is "casual structure". I like students to be un-muted so they can share their thoughts and ideas. I like to call on individuals if they feel comfortable sharing. The only materials needed each week are paper and something to color with (crayons, markers, or colored pencils).

My name is Teacher Meg. I am so glad you're here!
I am excited to offer different types of classes including... but not limited to:
Pre-K/Kindergarten skills (ages 4-6), Sight Words Classes (ages 4-7), First Grade Phonics, Writing Sentences, English as a Second Language (ESL) **Private Tutoring & Group Conversational English practice, & Story Time/Art (elementary).
My Background:
I obtained a Bachelor of Science in 2012 from Barton College in North Carolina. I am a licensed teacher in the areas of Elementary Education K-5, Middle Grades Mathematics 6-9, and Special Education K-12. I also hold a TESOL (Teaching English to speakers of other languages) certificate. I have 7 years of public school teaching experience. Currently, I am a Work-At-Home mom of two kids. I have been teaching online for the past 3 years, so I understand the importance of making students feel welcome and included in this setting.
My Philosophy:
I believe all children are capable of being successful, regardless of their backgrounds. I believe that every child has different strengths and can use their strengths to overcome their weaker areas. I also think that the more fun a child has, the more they will want to learn.

-I have a husband, a daughter, and a son. Both of my children enjoy taking classes on Outschool.
-I have 3 dogs and 1 cat.
-I enjoy running, baking, and finding new restaurants/places to visit.
