Each week learners will hear the story of an event that happened during the week of the class in history, along with the causes and/or effects of that event and it's effect on the world in general. Events will be from a variety of places and countries, and subjects from Pop Culture to Sports, to Military history and everything in between. If time allows they will also learn about other events that happened during the week in history as well. Upcoming classes and topics covered: Week of November 18: Cuban Missile Crisis Week of November 25: Michael Jackson's "Thriller" Album Week of December 2: Pearl Harbor Week of December 9: Dissolvement of Soviet Union Week of December 16: A Christmas Carol is Published Week of December 23 and 30: NO CLASS Week of January 6: iPhone Week of January 13: First Convicts Arrive in Australia Week of January 20: Iranian Hostage Crisis #academic

I love history and learning about how people lived during different times. I like to do research into different events and the impact they had on the world. I believe we need to learn from the past and what happened in order to impact the future. One of my favorite quotes is "Those who don't learn from History are doomed to repeat it" I want to pass that on to my learners so they will also learn and impact the world. I teach history classes on Outschool in a variety of formats and subjects. In this class I want learners to hear what really happened so they can form their own opinions and learn from the past. I welcome their insight into the events and questions about what happened, and it's effect on the world today.レビュー
