This course will walk students through the compartments in a real World War II Gato class submarine! Students will receive information about each compartment, and hear a variety of submarine stories. There will be time for questions and answers throughout the virtual tour.
Students will gain a better understanding of the sacrifices that submariners made during World War II, as well as a basic knowledge of how a submarine functions.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in history and am employed as the Archivist at the USS Silversides Submarine Museum. I am also thrilled to be a member of this historic vessel's restoration crew.
No supplies will be required.
