Electrical Engineering 101 – The Basics of Electricity
What is electricity, and how do we use it in everyday life? In this lesson, we’ll explore the fundamentals of electrical engineering, including current, voltage, resistance, and power. Using fun real-world examples and a water analogy, students will learn how Ohm’s Law helps engineers design circuits. We’ll also discuss the differences between AC vs. DC power, why grounding is important, and how electricity is safely used in devices like smartphones, computers, and home appliances.

レッスン 2:
Common Electrical Components – Resistors, Capacitors, and More!
Before we build circuits, we need to understand the essential electrical components! In this lesson, students will explore the functions of resistors, capacitors, diodes, inductors, and transistors, and how they work together in circuits. We’ll use real-world examples (like how a capacitor stores energy for a camera flash or how transistors act as tiny electronic switches in computers) to help students visualize their purpose.

レッスン 3:
Circuit Building & Practical Skills – Hands-On Electronics
In this lesson, students will learn how to read circuit diagrams, use a breadboard, and connect components correctly. We’ll explore the difference between series and parallel circuits and practice measuring voltage and resistance using Ohm’s Law. Students will also learn how to safely power circuits using batteries, wall adapters, or lab power supplies. By the end of this lesson, they’ll have a strong foundation in assembling and troubleshooting simple circuits.

This class involves basic electrical circuits and hands-on activities using components like batteries, resistors, LEDs, and breadboards. While all projects are low-voltage and safe for beginners, parental supervision is recommended when students are assembling circuits to ensure proper handling of electrical components. Additionally, in Lesson 5, we introduce Arduino programming. No accounts or third-party tools are required, but students will need to download the free Arduino IDE software (available from the official Arduino website) to upload code to the microcontroller. Obtaining an Arduino or other programming toolkit for projects is completely optional.
