This is a preschool music and story time class in a print rich and prop filled environment. We will start with a welcome where I'll give each student a chance to share with the class their St Patrick's Day or Pete the Cat clothing, toy, or book. I'll show them their Pete the Cat name card, and practice the first letter and sound in their name. Next we will sing a 'hello' song together. I'll sing a phrase first, and the students will echo. Then we will check in with our emotions and feelings, and I'll introduce and read the story, "Pete the Cat, The Great Leprechaun Chase", by James Dean. After the story, we'll learn a few steps and movements to a St Patrick's Day song, "Shamrock Beat." To close the class, we will sing a simple 'goodbye'  echo song.
