Beginner レベル向け
In this ongoing class students will learn to draw TWO squishmallow characters each class and socialize in a safe and cheerful environment. We will draw in real time and learn the steps for drawing different characters with each weekly theme. Some characters are based on holiday themes during the week preceding a holiday. Drawing skills that we will practice include: pencil sketching, sighting/measuring, color gradient, facial expressions, and ink. During drawing time we will also encourage discussion among peers to share favorite experiences or insights related to the theme. This is a fun art class that will allow for relaxing and chatting, while sharing some giggles with friends and drawings that put us in a happy mood. Week of August 5: Cactus and Taco Week of August 12: Lava lamp and Fennec Fox Week of August 19: Bunny and Badger Week of August 26: Burger and Fries Week of September 2: Rainbow Hedgehog and Sonic Week of September 9: Sushi and Noodles Week of September 16: Mickey and Minnie Week of September 23: TBD Week of September 30: TBD Week of October 7: Halloween (ghost and Spider) Week of October 14: Halloween (candy corn and kitty witch) Week of October 21: Halloween (skeleton and mummy) Week of October 28: Halloween (bat and vampire) * Weekly themes subject to change for student requests or needs.

Hello! I am BriAnn Ongesel. I have taught online classes for over 7 years and over 2 years here on Outschool. I teach art classes to ages 5-17.
I have my bachelor's degree in Graphic Design from Brigham Young University Idaho. I also studied UX/UI design from California Institute of the Arts. I am currently a freelance designer, online teacher, and mother of four.
I believe that the best learning comes from doing. Students learn from practicing the principles taught and from sharing what they learn with their peers. It is important to have fun in my classes, as well as talking with other students about class concepts and similar interests. Learning is about chasing what excites you and diving into all you can with it.
My hobbies include reading, drawing, and baking. I love good food - including 'nicecream', butternut squash, and cheesecake.
