Calling all young word wizards! Do you have a knack for spelling or want to sharpen your vocabulary while having fun? In this interactive and exciting spelling bee class, 6th graders will compete in games, master tricky words, and learn spelling strategies to become confident, star spellers.

Each session includes:

✨ A weekly word list featuring grade-level and challenge words.
✨ Fun games like "Word Relay," "Sparkle," and "Typing Bee."
✨ A mini spelling bee to test their skills and crown the weekly champ!

Week 1 (1/16/2025): Short Vowels (i.e: enchanted, frivolous, confidential)

Week 2 (1/23): Long Vowels (i.e: exceedingly, queasy, genuine)

Week 3 (1/30): Silent Letters (i.e: league, asthma, rogue)

Week 4 (2/6): S and Z Sounds (i.e: sympathize, optimism, compromise)

Week 5 (2/13): K and KW Sounds (i.e: quirky, chaotic, klutz)

Week 6 (2/20): Prefixes (i.e: mis-, sub-, pre-, pro-, etc)

Week 7 (2/27): Suffixes (i.e: -ar, -er, -or, -est, -ist, etc) 

These ongoing spelling bee classes are designed to cover essential spelling patterns and sounds. Each week introduces a new theme, providing variety and progressive difficulty to keep students engaged.
