This beginner-level Spanish course is designed for high school students looking to develop real-world communication skills in a structured and interactive setting.  Learners will build a strong foundation in speaking, listening, reading, and writing, while also exploring cultural aspects of Spanish-speaking countries. Lessons are aligned with national  standards for world languages, ensuring that students gain essential language skills through meaningful and practical applications.

The course includes structured instruction, interactive activities, games, videos, and real-life conversations. Learners may choose to take the course for a grade, which will include quizzes, speaking assessments, writing tasks, and projects, or they can opt for an enrichment experience, where they will receive feedback without formal grades. Each session is designed to keep students engaged through discussion, guided practice, and cultural connections, making learning both effective and enjoyable.

Each class follows a structured yet engaging format that allows students to practice and apply their learning in real-world contexts. The session begins with a teacher introduction and warm-up activity to review previous material and introduce the day’s topic. This may include a quick question, a simple conversation prompt, or an interactive poll to get students thinking in Spanish.

Next, the teacher presents new vocabulary and grammar concepts, incorporating cultural elements relevant to the lesson.
