Through open discussions, school appropriate memes, and small assignments, students will acquire knowledge on slang. We will take a deep dive into slang and how you can appropriately use it! You may be wondering, how is learning slang useful? Learning slang helps language learners connect with native speakers on a cultural and personal level. It is an important step to take in language acquisition. Please note: This lesson is designed for 6-12th grade English language learning students. Hi there! My name is Katie. I am an ESL teacher. I have experience teaching/tutoring students K-12. I also have experience teaching adults English as a second language.
My qualifications:
- I have a Bachelor's in Linguistics. What is linguistics? Linguistics is the study of language!
- I am TEFL certified
- I am a licensed tutor
-I am a licensed substitute teacher with a focus on TESOL
