This class is for beginners and was designed for students that want to learn how to add patterns and texture to their designs. Because illustrating patterns and textures can be tricky, the teacher will demonstrate the steps for illustrating various patterns/prints and textures (leopard, mesh, sheer, etc). I love fashion and I began offering fashion design classes for my sewing school students in grades 6 and up, 3 years ago. I quickly learned that my younger students wanted fashion classes too! I then created a class for grades 4 and 5 and redesigned it a year later, for students in grades 2 - 4. My fashion design classes on Outschool, A Taste of Fashion Design- Get Inspired and Sketch & Design, have been very popular! As a result, I decided to add a 2-day class for students that want to learn more about illustrating patterns and textures.
The teacher will provide a handout and croquis (body template). Handouts will be needed at the beginning of the class. Students will need to have/purchase: 1. Colored pencils or markers. A skin-tone pencil or marker is optional but very helpful. 2. 2 sharp pencils with erasers
