What will be taught? Learners will explore essential financial concepts, including budgeting, saving, investing, credit, and entrepreneurship, with a focus on practical skills for real-life application. How is your class structured? This is a 9-week, self-paced course with weekly video lessons, interactive activities, and assignments to apply what learners have studied. Each week builds on the previous topics, leading to a final financial plan project. How will you teach? Lessons are delivered through engaging video lectures, interactive slides, and downloadable worksheets. Each topic includes hands-on activities to reinforce learning, and assignments encourage learners to apply skills to their daily lives. What’s your teaching style? My teaching style is practical, approachable, and encouraging, designed to meet learners where they are. I incorporate real-world examples and fun, relatable activities to keep students engaged. How much will learners get to interact with you? While this is a self-paced course, I will provide personalized feedback on assignments and respond to questions via the Outschool platform. Weekly posts will include tips, encouragement, and optional challenges to keep learners motivated.
Learning Goals
Learners will identify and explain the importance of budgeting, saving, investing, and credit. They will apply these concepts to create a personal budget and savings plan.
Learners will explore the basics of entrepreneurship, including creating a product or service and managing finances. By the end of the course, they will develop a simple business plan to demonstrate their understanding.
