What will be taught? Students will learn about the legacy of ancient Greece, exploring how Greek contributions in democracy, inventions, drama, architecture, and philosophy shape our modern world. What topics will you cover? Democracy: Direct democracy and its impact. Inventions: Tools like the astrolabe, pulley block, and wood screw. Literature & Drama: Epics, myths, tragedies, and comedies. Architecture: Greek columns and temples. Philosophy & History: Early philosophers and the study of history. How is your class structured? The class includes an engaging intro, topic-focused segments, interactive activities, guided notes, discussion questions, a reflective journal entry, and a summative product-pitch assessment. How will you teach? Through a blend of storytelling, humor, and relatable examples, I’ll lead brief lectures, facilitate hands-on activities, and encourage critical thinking through discussions and reflections. What's your teaching style? My style is interactive, humorous, and student-centered, using relatable examples to make history engaging and memorable. How much will learners get to interact with you? Students will interact frequently through direct instruction, group activities, guided notes, discussions, and feedback on assignments.
