The students will need the following: 
* Sculpy or Fimo oven bake clay in a variety of colors. The colors are entirely up to them.
* Wire, around 20-22 gauge. 
* Jewelry wire cutters or scissors that are safe and easy to use. 
* Basic clay tools. In the absence of the tools, a toothpick, or a large plastic sewing needle will work for most things.  
* A fine permanent marker to draw the eyes of our mercat. Alternatively, we can make tiny clay eyes.

Younger learners may require parental assistance making the clay more malleable. We will also be using wire, soft aluminum wire is best. The students may require assistance cutting the wire, depending on their age and ability. At the end of the lesson, once our unicorn is complete, the learners will need assistance with the use the oven in order to bake the completed project. 

Note to parents, please be sure to follow instructions when baking the clay. The temperatures for this kind of clay is often quite low (around 250 degrees), and is stated on the clay box or wrapper.
