週あたり 1-2 時間. Homework will be assigned each day by giving students practice problems from real past SAT math portions of the exam that relate to the topics covered each day of the class. Students will be encouraged to time themselves solving problems to assess their solving time as well as to check for any possible mistakes. Each homework will take between 40-60 minutes.
テスト
The learner's progress is assessed by their completion and the accuracy of answers with the homework, by the solving and timing of the problems given during each time the class meet, and the discussions during each class day.

This class is structured with a lecture based format as well as a call and response format that is incorporated throughout. Each day will include room for discussion and questions should any arise. The layout of each day and the topics covered each day are listed below. Note that the time schedule will be adjusted if students need more time on a specific topic or question.

Required experience: Algebra 1, Geometry (Algebra 2 knowledge is not required but is encouraged)
Reminder that this class is a review of topics and a connection to how they will be presented and formatted. Students are expected to have some knowledge of the topics covered.

DAY 1: Linear and Systems of Equations
5/10mins: Introduction, go over what math classes the students have completed

40mins: Lecture/Discussion/Practice
Topics include: 3 forms of a line, definition of slope, slope equation, different ways that linear lines and linear equations will be presented on the SAT (with examples from easy to hard level questions), system of equations, types of solutions for system of equations, 3 methods of solving for a system of equations, different ways that systems of equations will be presented on the SAT (with examples from easy to hard level questions)

10/15mins: Questions/Discussion
Where we will discuss what was covered, answer any questions the students may have, start to work on the homework together (if there is any time left), or move to a few challenging problems that take the topics/concepts we cover and move forward with them

Homework: (40-60 mins)
6 Linear line problems, 5 system of equations problems (there are both multiple choice, short answer, and word problems in the homework)
Students are to complete these problems for homework (they are encouraged to time themselves when working on this to determine how long each problem will take as well as get used to being timed).

DAY 2: Geometry: Triangles and Circles
5/10mins: Review
Reviewing the answers from the homework/worksheet of the previous day, answer any questions

40/45mins Lecture/Discussion/Practice
Topics include: Similar vs congruent triangles (ratios), symbols: tick marks, Isosceles and Equilateral triangles, SIN, COS, TAN, Acute vs obtuse vs right angles, Vertical angles, 30-60-90 rule, 45-45-90 rule, equation of a circle, radius vs diameter, area of a sector and arc length (there will be example problems from SAT practice exams covering these topics incorporated throughout the lesson)

5/10mins: Questions/Discussion
Where we will discuss what was covered, answer any questions the students may have, start to work on the homework together, or move to a few challenging problems covering the topics/concepts discussed today

Homework: (35-40 mins)
6 problems on triangle topics, 4 problems with circles (these problems are a mix of multiple choice and short answer from both the calculator and non-calculator sections)
Students are to complete these problems for homework (they are encouraged to time themselves when working on this to determine how long each problem will take as well as get used to being timed).

DAY 3: Volume and Quadratics
5/10mins: Review
Reviewing the answers from the homework/worksheet of the previous day, answer any questions

40/45mins: Lecture/Discussion/Practice
Topics include: finding volume, using volume to solve a problem, different ways that volume will be presented on the SAT (with examples from easy to hard level questions), what a quadratic is, ways to factor quadratics, quadratic formula, graphing a quadratic, the three forms of a quadratic, different ways that quadratics will be presented on the SAT (with examples from easy to hard level questions)

5/10mins: Questions/Discussion
Where we will discuss what was covered, answer any questions the students may have, work on the homework together, or move to a challenging problem on the topics/concepts we covered

Homework: (35-40 mins)
3 volume questions, 5 quadratics questions (these problems are a mix of multiple choice and short answer from both the calculator and non-calculator sections as well as include diagrams)
Students are to complete these problems for homework (they are encouraged to time themselves when working on this to determine how long each problem will take as well as get used to being timed).

DAY 4: Testing Tips and Discussion
10/15mins: Review
Reviewing the answers from the homework/worksheet of the previous day, answer any questions from topics or homework from day 1-3

10/15mins: Grading/Topics Covered
Breaking down the SAT grading rubric and answer keys to SAT practice exams, the subscores for the math section (connecting the problems we have done from day 1-3 with the subscores),

20/25mins: SAT Tips/General Tips
Go over specific tips for the SAT: trick answer choices, how to best use your calculator to benefit you, how hints/parentheses/notes help for the question it is included in, how to use past SAT or practice SAT exams to help you study, general tips for day before, day of, and during the test

5/10mins: Wrap Up/Discussion
Discussion of what the students learned and what they think will benefit them the most, conclusion of the whole class
学習到達目標
Students will learn the most common topics and challenging topics covered on the SAT. They will also learn tips and tricks to help them study and to help them take the SAT to the best of their ability.
