We are are going to explain the how-to's of "Completing the Square". Then we will illustrate the concept by solving some exam style Quadratic Equation questions. This one-time class will contain 35 mins of lecture time plus 10 mins of students' activities (worksheet problem solving and/or short quiz). The total class time is 45 mins. My teaching style is start with explanation of the math concepts involved. Afterwards, I will show on the virtual white board how to actually solve some past exam problems. Finally, the students will be asked to solve some additional problems on their own, with my assistance. The interaction will involve me asking them questions which they can reply verbally or write the answers on the white board.
