Welcome to the Roll & Draw ESL Winter Camp!

This unique and engaging enrichment class is designed for young learners to improve their English language skills through creative drawing activities. In each class, students will roll a dice to determine different elements of their drawings, sparking their imagination and creativity while practicing English vocabulary and conversation skills.

Each class, we will focus on a new theme, such as animals, food, or places, and use our drawings as a fun way to learn and use new words. Students will have the opportunity to describe their drawings, ask questions, and engage in conversations with their peers, all in a supportive and interactive environment.

Who Can Join: This class is perfect for young learners who are beginners or intermediate English speakers. No prior drawing skills are required—just bring your creativity and enthusiasm!

Materials Needed:

Paper

Pencils, markers, or crayons

A six-sided dice (you can also find a dice app for the phone or Ipad)

Drawing Schedule:

Week of 01/27/2025 - 02/02/2025:

Day 1: Roll a Bug 🐞 In this class, we'll roll the dice to create various bugs, learning vocabulary related to insects, habitats, and characteristics while drawing and describing our creepy-crawly friends.

Day 2: Roll a Cat 🐱 In this class, we'll roll the dice to design different versions of cats, learning vocabulary related to pets, anatomy, and behaviors while crafting our purr-fect feline companions.

Day 3: Roll a Lion 🦁 In this class, we'll roll the dice to design different versions of lions, learning vocabulary related to wild animals, environments, and features while crafting our majestic jungle kings.

Week of 02/03/2025 - 02/09/2025:

Day 1: Roll a Pig 🐷 In this class, we'll roll the dice to create adorable pigs, learning vocabulary related to farm animals, features, and behaviors while crafting our charming little piggies.

Day 2: Roll a Neighborhood 🏘️ In this class, we'll roll the dice to design our own neighborhoods, learning vocabulary related to buildings, landmarks, and community while bringing our imagined neighborhoods to life.

Day 3: Roll an Ice Cream 🍦 In this class, we'll roll the dice to design delicious ice cream creations, learning vocabulary related to flavors, ingredients, and desserts while making our sweet treats look mouth-watering.

Week of 02/10/2025 - 02/16/2025:

Day 1: Roll a Snake 🐍 In this class, we'll roll the dice to create various snakes, learning vocabulary related to reptiles, habitats, and characteristics while drawing and describing our slithery friends.

Day 2: Roll a Dog 🐶 In this class, we'll roll the dice to design different versions of dogs, learning vocabulary related to pets, breeds, and behaviors while crafting our loyal canine companions.

Day 3: Roll a Character 🎭 In this class, we'll roll the dice to design unique characters, learning vocabulary related to personality traits, clothing, and features while bringing our imaginative characters to life.

Week of 02/17/2025 - 02/23/2025:

Day 1: Roll an Animal 🐾 In this class, we'll roll the dice to create various animals, learning vocabulary related to wildlife, habitats, and characteristics while bringing our favorite creatures to life.

Day 2: Roll a Robot 🤖 In this class, we'll roll the dice to design unique robots, learning vocabulary related to technology, parts, and functions while crafting our futuristic friends.

Day 3: Roll an Alien 👽 In this class, we'll roll the dice to design imaginative aliens, learning vocabulary related to space, features, and planets while creating our otherworldly characters.

Week of 02/24/2025 - 03/01/2025:

Day 1: Roll a Teacher 👩‍🏫 In this class, we'll roll the dice to create our favorite teachers, learning vocabulary related to school, professions, and traits while drawing and describing our inspiring educators.

Day 2: Roll a Rocketship 🚀 In this class, we'll roll the dice to design amazing rocketships, learning vocabulary related to space, technology, and exploration while crafting our out-of-this-world vehicles.

Day 3: Roll a Car 🚗 In this class, we'll roll the dice to create different cars, learning vocabulary related to transportation, parts, and features while designing our dream rides.
