In this one time, live class we will explore the rock cycle. Students will learn the steps of the rock cycle and the three types of rocks: sedimentary, igneous, and metamorphic. Students will learn the characteristics of the different types of rocks. This class is teacher led with slides and videos of examples of different rocks. Students will have the opportunity to participate in a classroom discussion about different parts of the rock cycle. Students will have the opportunity to show the class their favorite rock.

I am Mrs V, as my classroom students call me. I teach phonics, grammar, science, math, and music classes. I am licensed to teach kindergarten through 6th grade. I also have a minor in music. I taught preschool for 6 years and I did student teaching in kindergarten, 2nd, 3rd, and 6th grades. I have worked part time in the public school system for the last 5 years. I homeschool my two youngest children and enjoy finding fun new ways to teach things. I also teach ESL classes online. I believe that including the student's interests into the lesson engages the learning and makes learning fun and more easily attainable. Fun, hands on activities and games provide an engaging learning environment. My hobbies are animals (I live on a small farm), music (I minored in music), reading and crocheting.
