このクラスで学べること
In this class we will be reviewing all of the 1st grade math concepts that students will need in their 2nd grade class including: addition, subtraction, solving word problems, skip counting, reading graphs, counting coins, telling time, shapes and more! Students will warm up their brains at the beginning of each class with simple concepts and then we will continue to build and review the more difficult strategies as we go. I will use direct instruction with the help of slides, hands on practice, and games! Monday: Single digit addition and subtraction, patterns, and skip counting Tuesday: Solving word problems and reading graphs Wednesday: Identifying 2D & 3D shapes Thursday: Counting Coins & Telling Time Friday: Overall review and extra practice on each student's weakest concept This class is recommended for students that finished 1st grade and will be headed into 2nd grade, but I can be flexible with any student that needs to review these math skills. Students will need a small white board with a marker and eraser in order to participate in our class.

Students will need a small white board, marker and eraser. It also would be helpful if the students have a handful of US coins available on the days that we practice counting coins for a more hands-on experience.
