These will be no longer than one page long and should take no more than 20 minutes to complete. In this course, your child will learn how to better understand the passages they are reading. They will learn how to look for clues within a passage to find the answers to questions being asked and to do so in a timely fashion. Many times, students are timed in class and must read a passage and find the answers to questions about that passage within a set amount of time. This can lead to anxiety and poor report card grades. I want to empower your child to be able to quickly and confidently find the answers that are being asked of them and to, in turn, learn to enjoy the stories that they are being asked to read. Each week will have a different text and we will work to find answers for this text each session. This is a skill that requires lots of practice to master, so we will work to get better at these skills each week. Week 1 - Finding Answers in a Short Story Week 2 - Finding Answers in an Informational Text Week 3 - Finding Answers in a Fable Week 4 - Finding Answers in a Short Story Week 5 - Finding Answers in an Informational Text Week 6 - Finding Answers in a Fable
