👩🏻🏫 Each class will focus on several ⭐️ activities and games related to the Word Family of the week! Activities will include: identifying letter sounds, matching pictures, sorting words, building words within the word family, reading sentences with visual aids, spelling, writing CVC words, and listening activities (activities may vary from session to session). 👧🏻👦🏽🧒🏼*Learners should have a good foundation in 🔠 letter-sound awareness before beginning this course. This class would also be helpful to ESL/ENL learners and is great weekly reinforcement for all learning to blend CVC words. ***This course runs on a 15 lesson cycle and will start over (from the beginning) after lesson 15. You may join or cancel at any time. Below, please see the order of word families that will be covered in each lesson (1-15). 📆Weekly Schedule (order will depend on the week you enroll): ✏️Week of September 29th- Lesson 1: -ed (Word Family) 🖍️Week of October 6th- Lesson 2: -ag ✏️Week of October 13th-Lesson 3: -ad 🖍️Week of October 20th- Lesson 4: -it ✏️Week of October 27th-Lesson 5: -ip 🖍️Week of November 3rd- Lesson 6: -at ✏️Week of November 10th- Lesson 7: -ot 🖍️Week of November 17th- Lesson 8: -ig ✏️Week of November 24th- Lesson 9: -en 🖍️Week of December 1st-Lesson 10: -ug ✏️Week of December 8th-Lesson 11: -op 🖍️Week of December 15th-Lesson 12: -et ✏️Week of December 22nd-Lesson 13: -in 🖍️Week of December 29th- Lesson 14: -am ✏️Week of January 5th -Lesson 15: -ap ***Learners are asked to bring a white board and marker to class OR several sheets of white paper and a dark marker (if possible) for in-class activities. ***After each class, 🗒️✏️worksheets will be available in the classroom (to print for extra practice at home). These will NOT be required homework assignments and are only optional activities.
