In this 40 minute workshop, your teen will be introduced to KDP self publishing on Amazon. Not only will I explain the process, I will also model an example and show them how my daughter and I publish on Amazon ourselves. Students will learn how to turn their slideshow into a PDF and download onto the KDP website in order to self publish a book.
I have published 9 different books for my daughter using KDP self publishing. I have also sold materials on Teachers Paid Teachers and other platforms. I have been a certified teacher for 22 years and although I am not a professional publisher myself, I feel I have the experience to introduce teens to this fairly simple way to share their work while creating a stream of income for themselves.
Students do not need to register for a KDP account right away. I will discuss this during the workshop. If they choose to register, this step must be done with a parent since it requires personal information.

Although we will be talking about selling our books on Amazon, no personal information will be shared by the participants. If students want to sign up for a KDP account they will need to do so with their parents help at a different time. I will not be providing help with registration.
