This is a 1:1 tutoring class for Pre-K through 1st grade. The student will receive tutoring with phonics, reading, vocabulary, and grammar. I provide individualized lessons for each learner based on their needs. Reading Lessons focus on letter and sound awareness, decoding, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. I will discuss with the parents what the student needs and address it after enrollment and/or during the first class and class topics/focus will be based on what is agreed upon between parents and teacher. My teaching style allows for my learners to be active participants, free to ask questions, and have fun while learning. I like to include slides, music, and fun educational games with my lessons whenever possible. My goal is to build your child's confidence and love for reading. 📖

Welcome 🤗! I am Tangie Arrington, my students call me Mrs. Tangie.
I have my Bachelors degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from
the University of Houston Downtown. I am certified in Early
Childhood-8th grade for all subjects and English as a Second
Language (ESL) certified. I am Orton-Gillingham Level 1 Trained.
I have taught in public school for 12 years, with the last 3 years
teaching virtually. I have had the pleasure of teaching learners from
all around the world, on various levels, and in various grades.
Currently, I am tutoring learners in grades PK-3rd in all subject areas.
I absolutely LOVE ❤️ teaching, I believe it is my calling, and I am very
fortunate to be able to do what I am passionate about (teaching).
I don't take the opportunity lightly!
When I have free time, you can find me completing a puzzle, reading a
book, spending time with my family, or playing a game of bingo...Yes,
