Welcome, parents and learners! I am Ms. Amy. In this twice-weekly class, we will learn to speak and communicate in Mandarin Chinese, read and write in simplified Chinese. I will tailor lessons to your student's interests and needs based on personalized materials tied in with official textbooks.
Each class will be specific to the student's proficiency and needs. This is an example of typical topics covered in each lesson:

Week 1: Greetings, Pinyin, tones, strokes, Numbers 1- 5
Week 2: Greetings, Numbers 6- 10
Week 3: Dates 1, Month/Day Numbers 11-30
Week 4: Year, Birthday,  Numbers 31-50
Week 5: Time, Daily Routine
Week 6:  Week
Week 7:  Family members
Week 8:  Self-Introduction
Week 9: Colors
Week 10: Clothing 
Week 11:  My body
Week 12:  Animals
Week 13:  Pets
Week 14:  My hobbies: Sports
Week 15:  My hobbies: Music and Dance

class time breakdown:
10 min - review what we learned through conversations or fun activities using flashcards, pictures, Zoom whiteboard, etc.
15 min -  Practice Pinyin, tones, learn new characters, words and phrases,  make sentences, practice handwriting characters, etc.
5 min  -  Go over the session's key words and sentences.
