プライベート ESL クラス: 英語会話クラス 1:1

In this ongoing ESL classes, your English Language Learner will have the opportunity to learn new vocabulary and develop conversational skills.  Classes are designed to support many different learning styles, in a one on one setting. This class is a private tutoring session, for he younger students who are just beginning to learn English. With the use of TPR (Total Physical Response), props and visuals, your learner will  receive individualized attention, while practicing the art of conversation with a certificated, experienced  teacher. The goal is to build up to 70% output from the student and 30% from the teacher. The classes will follow the same format each session, to provide the consistency in instruction, which is beneficial to English Language learners. We will begin each lesson with introductions and hellos. Then we will move into the lesson theme. Each week we will focus on new vocabulary, pronunciation, syntax, sentence structure and grammar. I am a qualified teacher with several years experience teaching English Language Learners both in person and online. This is a fantastic way to learn and practice conversational English skills. 

I do not over-correct every single mistake made by a student. This leads to lack of confidence for the student and possibly not wanting to participate.  I always model the correct one word answer and complete sentence. I also praise students when giving  either. I believe in scaffolding, using visual clues and allowing students time to self correct without interruption.

This class is perfect for all learners that are interested in learning Beginning English and developing conversational skills. I will also include their interests as a way to keep them engaged and learning. For example, if there is a certain character they like from books, television show or movies, we will expand our conversations beyond the weekly topic to include their interests, too.  Depending on the learners age, we will use games, songs and stories to guide our conversations as we practice speaking with each other. Because there are no other students, there will be a lot of time to practice. As a native English speaker and TESOL certified teacher, I will provide a class that is an immersive and safe learning space, where the  learners can build their knowledge and understanding of the English language by building vocabulary and practicing conversational skills in a small group setting.
