This is a Private Dance Lesson. It will be geared to the individual learner. Learners should communicate with the teacher prior to the lesson to pick a dance style to focus on. The student will be given individual tuition on Dance Technique in their chosen style learning basic techniques or improving upon technique.
I have been teaching dance for over 25 years. I am a qualified professional dance teacher with the NCDTA International and the IDTA (International Dance Teachers Association). I am also an examiner with the NCDTA International. I have taught all ages from young children to adults in a variety of genres. I am currently the Children's Program Director of a Dance Studio in the USA.
As this is a dance class please ensure that children have enough free space to move around and remove anything they may bump into or knock down (e.g. your expensive vase!). Class Attire:- Please wear appropriate free-moving clothes e.g. tee-shirt with leggings. Leotard/dance skirt. Footwear:- This depends which style you are taking the dance class in. Please check with me for advice. Avoid socks unless on carpet due to slippery floors. Fitness:- Your child should be in a fit and healthy state. Please check with your doctor if you have any concerns. Potential for Injuries:- This Dance class has very low risk for injuries when following the teacher's guidance.
