This ongoing class is part 1 of an introduction to piano lessons for very young beginners, using the Wunderkeys Preschool book 1. This book is NOT cumulative, but instead repeats the same structure while introducing a different "wunderbie," creative theme, and song in each chapter. As a teacher with over twenty years of experience, I have been running my own piano studio full-time for the last decade. I started learning music in piano lessons when I was four years old and am currently teaching my 15th academic year as a piano teacher. Regular practice is an integral part of learning to play an instrument. Students will receive weekly homework based on the classwork, to be completed on a near-daily basis. Parents will also be expected to assist with at home practice throughout the week. Absolutely NO EATING during class. Learners will need the constant use of both of their hands as well as to engage with their full attention. Learners who are eating on camera may be asked to leave. Google Slides will only be used to screen-share music games.
