幼稚園と保育園：一緒に遊び、学び、成長する

Day 1: What's the weather like today?  This online class will start with a discussion on the weather. Online students live in different areas.  This is the perfect opportunity to learn about comparing and graphing.  Then we will learn calendar skills.  Students will learn the days of the week and months of the year.  We will learn numbers and counting by 1's, 2's 5's and 10's.  Counting and movement go hand in hand for young children.  Students will work on large motor skills while we count.  This is also a time to practice listening and to learn how to follow instructions. Colors and shapes will be discussed in class. I will use movement, music, chants and poems to help reinforce the concepts that are being taught.  This is a time for students to learn, move, and socialize.
After the calendar activities students will meet the Letter of the Day!  I will help them learn to recognize upper and lower case letters, learn they sound(s) each letter makes and practice writing it.  We will also discuss things that start with the letter! 

Day 2: Calendar activities and number practice
Then we will reinforce the letter from Day 1. Students can bring an item to share with the class that starts with the letter of the week.  We will discuss the letter using a theme.  Science, stories, and reading comprehensions will often be incorporated into the lessons.  We will review letters and practice phonics!
