7年生の数学の準備

This class is a review of all 6th Grade mathematics in a short 4-week course.  Learners will learn all concepts and be able to confidently move forward to 7th grade math.  

The following concepts will be covered-

Week 1:
- Review composing and decomposing whole numbers, place value, and ordering decimal numbers
- Reinforce mental math techniques for addition and subtraction, including decimals.
- Cover equivalent fractions, converting mixed numbers and improper fractions, and adding/subtracting fractions with unlike denominators.

Week 2:
-  Identify and measure angles, classify quadrilaterals, and explore rotational symmetry.
- Calculate area of polygons, surface area of prisms and pyramids, and draw different views of 3D objects.

Week 3-
-  Practice converting between units of measurement using real-world scenarios.
- Compare fractions, decimals, and percents and apply ratios and rates in problem-solving.
- Read and plot points, perform translations, reflections, and rotations.

Week 4-
- Write, interpret, and solve basic algebraic expressions and equations.
- Solve equations with variables, graph table of values, and work with inequalities.


At the end of this class, learners be prepared for 7th grade math! We will work at the pace of our learners, additional support is available for learners struggling with a specific concept.
