**I also offer a separate math tutoring class** **I offer a $5 discount each week when you book both a Math and Reading tutoring session** This is a private 1:1 class. The first session, I will give an assessment to see the child's strengths and weaknesses and to see what the current reading level is. I will contact you at least one week before the first session to learn more about your child and to address any learning needs your child may have. I will create an individualized learning plan that is best suited for your child's learning style. I always either send extra practice worksheets or ideas to help support your child's learning at home. I do like to show the learner strategies to help them understand hard concepts. After each class, I will send a note explaining what was covered and how you can help your child with concepts that they struggled with during this session. Each session is tailored to fit your child's individual needs. If your child has work that they need help on, then please bring that work during the session. You are more than welcome to let me know ahead of time anything that your child may need extra help with and I will work with them on these concepts. I always start my session out by asking the learner to tell me what they are learning in school and if there is anything they will need to work on. I look forward to meeting your child soon!

Hello Everyone!! I love to teach fun and engaging classes for children ages 3-8. I enjoy being silly and singing silly songs with the class. My puppets and my own pets often visit the class. I have been teaching Prekindergarten for the past 8 years and before that, I taught kindergarten for 9 years. I love the energy that the young learners bring to class.
When I am not teaching, you will find me hanging out with my family around a camp fire or traveling around the United States. I am also a Girl Scout leader in my community and love taking my Girl Scout troop on many adventures including camping trips, field trips and hiking trips. We like to earn a lot of STEM and nature badges. I love the outdoors and try to get out as much as possible. When I taught in the local public school classroom, I would often take my class outdoors to teach if it was a nice day. So come join me in class and see what adventures we will take!
