Travel back in time as we analyze the fossil record for evidence of prehistoric sharks. We will dig through evidence uncovering some of the most unusual shark species throughout history. Our virtual voyage will explore shark adaptations, anatomy, hunting behaviors, and ecology as students learn fun facts about why these animals ruled our ancient oceans. Learners will engage with other students in immersive discussions led by the teacher, participate in show-and-tell by way of biofacts, and view fintastic photos through PowerPoint. Some shark species that will be discussed include the scaleless shark, eel sharks, crusher sharks, anvil sharks, buzzsaw sharks, snaggletooth sharks, and more!
学習到達目標
Students will gain an understanding of the fossil record, learn why only shark teeth fossilize but not the rest of the animal, and learn about different species of prehistoric sharks. This science lesson will teach adaptations, functional morphology, animal behavior, and anatomy!
