✨ This ongoing class is highly interactive 🧠, with plenty of music 🎼, visuals 🏞️, and developmentally appropriate activities 👍 that allow students to have fun and play as they learn. Session topics will be learner-directed and decided weekly due to current events/happenings. 🌎

📣 I am a certified teacher 👨‍🏫 with 10+ years of experience working professionally in elementary schools 🏫. With positions from Kindergarten up to Grade 8 in the classroom and online, I am also a Kindergarten Specialist 🖍️ with additional qualifications in Special Education 🧩, Music 🎶, and Intermediate Mathematics! 🤯

🚨 ALL learners are encouraged to join this inclusive class. 😁 That means neurodiverse, ESL, and ANY other learners who think they may benefit from my program! 🚨

🔔 Each class is split up into four sections: 

1️⃣ Greeting Meeting 👋

Every day, the Greeting Meeting 👋 will begin with our Hello song 🎶 Then, we'll usually wrap up our Greeting Meeting 👋 by shaking our sillies out 🕺, as well as my signature Up-Down breaths 😮‍💨 for Heart Rate Variability 🫀 to help us stay calm and alert for our next activities. We also get to use our imagination and develop characters during this time!

2️⃣ Sing 🎤, Say 🗣️, Read 📖, Write ✍️! & Mathemagic 🧮🪄♾️

There will be a Literacy/English Language Arts focus during our Sing 🎤, Say 🗣️, Read 📖, Write ✍️ time together with interactive songs 🎵, guided reading 📚 and many more  activities ✏️ that will allow students to develop their understanding of sound recognition 🔊, syllables 🥁, rhyming 🦇🐈🐀🧢, blending and segmenting sounds 🗣️, phonics 🔠, and sight words.

We'll also focus on Math during Mathemagic 🧮🪄♾️! This time will also consist of interactive songs 🎵, problems 🕵️‍♂️, and many more activities ✏️, but they will facilitate learning for addition ➕ and subtraction ➖ with numbers up to 🔟, shapes▪️🔵🔺, measurement 📏, patterning 🌞🌜🌞🌜🌞🌜, and counting 🔢.

🤩 This section will allow students to move their bodies and play as they learn! Students can use a whiteboard ⬜️ and dry-erase marker 🖊️ or paper and a writing tool like a pencil, crayon, or marker 📝 to participate in writing activities. No worksheets need to be printed or prepared for the sessions! 🚫

Before moving on, we'll usually have an out-of-this-window 🪟 sensory experience to help us refocus.

3️⃣ Science 🧬 News 🗞️ 

During Science 🧬 News 🗞️, learners can talk about what they See 👀, Think 💭, and Wonder 🤔 about a photograph of nature 🌄. Students will learn about living 🐞🐒🐬🦆🌳🍄🦠 and non-living 🪨 🪐🌔🌈❄️🌊🌪️ things, making connections to their own lives and learning they did earlier in the class.

4️⃣ Gratitude ☺️ Circle ⭕️

Our Gratitude ☺️ Circle ⭕️ will begin with some calm music 🎹, and the students will be encouraged to practice visualizing anyone and anything they are thankful for. Learners are encouraged to find a comfortable place 🛋️ to lie or sit during this time and will have an opportunity to tell the group ✋ what they are most thankful for.

I also have 🆓 printables 🖨️ available for Literacy/English Language Arts, Mathematics, and various other subjects that can be used to support student learning between sessions and on weekends. I can share these with you for FREE if you request them! 🙌
