⭐ Welcome to your new favorite Pre-K class. This class is designed to prepare your child for kindergarten with a fun, interactive, and structured learning environment! This class meets four times a week, Monday through Thursday, for 35 minutes each session, ensuring a comprehensive and engaging experience. ⭐

Your child will learn essential skills such as ABCs, phonics, math, colors, shapes, and social skills. Each week features a new letter, number, and thematic topic to keep learning fresh and exciting: 

🔴 Mondays: We will have an introduction of a new letter, number, shape, etc. Monday's are focused on practicing our letter of the week, practicing sounds and reading words that start with that letter and interactive activities. 

🔴 Tuesdays: We will focus on math concepts and number recognition, including numbers or shapes that are introduced on Mondays. We will practice counting, shapes, tracing, simple math concepts, and more. 

🔴 Wednesdays: We will continue to focus on the patterns of what we're learning and dive deeper to explore math and language arts via activities like songs, reading, games, and other interactive activities.

🔴 Thursdays: We will focus on our future weekend projects, show-and-tell, and activities to solidify the week's learning and theme.

💡 Each class begins with welcomes and greetings, discussing the day, our class calendar, meeting social/emotional needs, and then that is followed by the main lesson. While we will not have class on Fridays, a homework packet will be provided to reinforce the week's learning at home at your convenience. 💡

⏰ Students will have multiple opportunities to interact with the teacher and classmates through discussions, show-and-tell, and interactive brain breaks. We encourage participation and personal expression, fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.

📅 More formal assessments will be conducted monthly to monitor progress and ensure retention of information. These will be completed in class and parents can also ask for home work to access as well. 

⭐️⭐️ You can join this class any week! We will highlight one number and one letters per week in this class, and review past/future letters, sounds, and math skills each week! Your learner can stay enrolled in this class all year long, and content builds over time. ⭐️⭐️

To give all of us some much needed breaks during the year, we will not have class on the following weeks:

🖍️ Weeks of 12/23 - 12/30: Winter Break (we will resume lessons starting the week of 1/6/25)

🖍️ We also observe the following holidays: 9/2/24 (Labor Day), 11/11/24 (Veterans Day), 1/20/25 (Martin Luther King Jr. Day), 2/17/25 (President's Day), 5/26/25 (Memorial Day), 6/19/25 (Juneteenth), 7/4/25 (Independence Day)

Keep in mind that when the holidays fall M-Th, you will not have to pay for those days. Students will still receive their workbooks!

🌟 You can secure your spot by subscribing on Thursday's to start the following week.
🌟 Each week, comprehensive homework packets are provided to enhance learning beyond class time.
🌟 We will focus on spotlighting each letter of the alphabet individually to deepen letter knowledge while broadening overall understanding.
🌟 Clear class expectations are outlined at the start of each class to maintain a respectful learning environment.
🌟 For safety and verification, all students are required to show their faces upon entering the classroom, as per Outschool's policy.
🌟 Students will be muted when they first enter the class. This is to minimize distractions, ensuring all students can engage fully in our daily agenda. Please make sure your students know how to mute and unmute themselves when they have questions or need to say something. 
🌟 Opportunities for students to share, practice public speaking, and develop social skills like turn-taking and listening are integral parts of each class.
🌟 We encourage teamwork to build confidence and independence. This includes parents too! You are encouraged to support your child during class as needed.

I love incorporating songs, show-and-tell, and physical activities into our lessons to help each learner get their wiggles out! Social interaction is key in my classes.
