このクラスで学べること
This weekly class is a hobby club. Students will gather and we will follow this outline: 1.) "Meet and Greet" -- Students will get a chance to know each other better, outside of Pokemon. We will begin every class with an icebreaker and group small talk. 2.) "Pokemon Topic" -- Each class will offer a new trend, issue, or strategy related to Pokemon Go. 3.) "Interactive Play" -- Students will engage in Pokemon Go activity. This can include raids, battles, trading, and more! 4.) "Sharing Goals" -- To conclude the session, students will go around one-by-one and share their Pokemon Go objectives for the week (i.e. hatch an egg, evolve a Pokemon, battle 10 times, etc.). My teaching style is student-centric and will allow learners to explore and navigate the class, given the loose agenda/structure. There will be several learning opportunities for the 4 C's Framework (21st Century Skills) as well as strategic presentation opportunities.

Hello, I'm Hyung-Gwan from both the United States of America and South Korea! I am an American citizen but I am also very much in touch with my Korean roots. I initially started off as a consultant after completing my Master's program at Carnegie Mellon University (Heinz College). However, after a few years working in the industry, I discovered a passion for teaching that was unparalleled. Much like both of my parents who are veteran educators, I realized my calling and passion for education. A little more about me than just my career: I enjoy watching films, being active outdoors, and trying new hobbies. I look forward to working with you (let's study hard)! ^^
