Beginner レベル向け
This is a beginner Pointe- Ballet class. Class will begin with Ballet Barre in Pointe Shoes. Students will learn how to properly rise up "en Pointe." They will also do many strengthening exercises "en Pointe" using the barre. The second half of class we will take off our pointe shoes. This will entail intermediate Ballet center. Going up en Pointe, and dancing in general, can be a risk. I have my Bachelor of Arts degree in dance. I have also run my own dance studio for over 10 years and have been teaching for over 15 years. I am well trained in muscle and injury prevention. Occasionally injuries do happen, however I do my best to prevent injury.
Students should have at least intermediate knowledge of Ballet, and have been given the OK by myself or another Ballet instructor to begin Pointe.
-comfortable clothing -A ballet barre, or chair, something to hold -Pointe Shoes (With toe pads, ribbon and elastic strongly encouraged). -Ballet Shoes
Going up en Pointe can be an extra risk which is why proper approval and prior dance training is a must. A student taking Pointe lessons should be enrolled in a Ballet class. During Pointe class it's important there's adequate space to dance, and the students are wearing comfortable clothing.
