In this self paced course, students will learn about nine different types of poetry. Each week your video will include examples of published works with analysis. Also, a break down of all the form rules and structures will allow students the tools to write their own poems. A rubric will be provided each week to ensure mastery of each week's technique. Students will submit one poem per week and I will use the rubric to provide a grade for each week's submission. I will offer one tutoring session for students who would like live feedback on their writing for any student who requests it.

Create with no rules! Explore how classic poets like Walt Whitman and Langston Hughes made amazing works without a strict structure. レッスン 2:

Some of the examples of poetry that we will explore may be triggering for some students. Some of the topics discussed will be love, death and grief.
受講に必要なもの
Students will need to provide copies of 3-4 random pages in a book of their choice for the week we study black out poems. Students will mark on these pages.
