This tutoring class covers all aspects of the essay writing process from choosing a topic to creating an outline all the way to polishing a finished final draft. It focuses specifically on writing persuasive (also known as argumentative) essays and the most common structure that educators look for when assigning these types of essays. It will help explain to learners not only how to create such an essay from start to finish, but will also give guidelines on how to do so when facing a time restriction (such as during a writing exam or timed assessment). If learners need assistance with a particular essay prompt, it is recommended that they have the prompt ready. The class will be discussion-based and will adapt to revolve around the individual needs of the learner and their essay.
