What will be taught?

Your learner will discover the magic behind websites as we cover:


• What is a Website? Understanding the basic structure of the Internet.
• Introduction to HTML: Learning about tags and how to structure the content of a
    webpage (headings, paragraphs, lists, etc.).
•  Adding Text and Structure: Using HTML to organize information.
• Inserting Images: Making webpages visually appealing with pictures.
• Creating Links: Connecting different webpages.
• Introduction to CSS: Applying basic styles to change colors and make the website look
   fantastic!

How is my class structured?

This is a personalized 1-on-1 tutoring experience, so each session is tailored to your child's individual pace and interests. We will primarily use a project-based approach, where your learner will be actively building their own webpage from the very first session using a free online editor (like CodePen or Glitch). Sessions are typically 45 minutes long, but we can adjust to 30 minutes if that better suits your learner.

How will I teach?

My teaching style is interactive, encouraging, and patient. I believe learning should be fun! We'll use screen sharing so I can guide your learner in real-time, and they'll be actively typing code and seeing their website come to life. We'll skip the complicated jargon and focus on clear, simple explanations.

However, the best frequency depends on your learner's individual goals and schedule, and we can discuss a plan that works best for your family to support their ongoing learning.
